This year, Geography Awareness Week is celebrating the power of parks. In part, this theme is dedicated toward the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service. But there are numerous other parks for which we should be thankful.

Parks don’t just exist at the national level. Parks are to be celebrated at all levels and scales and swaths of land, from the mini-parks to the major reserves. They can be water parks, theme parks, or memorials. Parks can be above ground, underground, or even under water! This site provides a list of fourteen parks where you, your students, and family can venture.
